Brightly colored silk tiny shoes with embroidered flowers were made with expert workmanship. They were made in a different time and were a part of Chinese culture and history. They are in excellent condition.

Wedge shaped raised sole shoes that are works of fabric and shoe art. The tops of the shoes are made of silk that are in different colors with red being the predominant color. The stitching is very fine with a silk band to hide where the different colors come together. The raised heels are light green with a lighter color pattern. The soles are black fabric with embroidered blue and yellow threads. They are very light weight.

There is a paper label on one sole. It has what looks like A 82919.

Approximately 4 ¾” (12.1 cm) long x 1 7/8” (4.8 cm) wide x 3” (7.6 cm) tall. Weighs 2.0 oz (55 g)

These shoes were probably never worn, as they are in such good shape with no tears, or loose threads. The soles don't look ever to have been walked on. The fabric is slightly faded, particularly the turquoise silk used to wrap the heels. The uppers do have small amounts of soiling. For the age, they are in very excellent shape.

Amazing fabric art that is artistic and full of Chinese history.
