A tiny pair of bound feet shoes with beautiful embroidery and workmanship that are straight out of a chapter of Chinese culture and history.

The silk shoes are wedge shaped. They are lightweight and have a gray quilted fabric sole. The heels are tiny with red and green silk coverings. The bodies of the shoes are embroidered in band of colorful silk. They have black bands at the top of the shoe openings. Bands of silk brocade have been used to strengthen seams on the front and back.

Approximately 3 ½” (8.9 cm) long x 1 3/8” (3.5 cm) wide x 2 11/16” (6.8 cm) tall. Weighs 2.5 oz (70 g)

They are in extremely good condition with no loose threads or tears. The silk fabric along the side of the heels is a bit faded. They were probably never worn, as the only wear is at the very tips of the toes. They are clearly old though.

Small works of fabric art that were made by expert workman. This pair is so tiny that I can't imagine them being worn.
