A nice green colored jade is mounted with a hidden compartment on a silver adjustable band. The mount is very intricate with tiny worked ropes of silver. The workmanship is expert and so meticulous.

An oval jade cabochon is mounted on a raised bed of silver twisted ropes and beads. The ring has a small bead on one side that opens an inner compartment with floral repousse flower decorations. The design is very Victorian. The cabochone has a nice soft polish that is not a glassy modern machine polish. The color is very good too with much emerald green spotting. The ring has a nice weight. The band is adjustable.

The word SILVER is stamped on the inside of the band. There is no marking for the gold content of the interior compartment and so we believe it's a gold wash, although since it's still is shows such little wear dispite the age, it might be gold-filled.

Cabochon is 15 mm x 10 mm. Mount (excluding shank) measures 19 mm x 14 mm. Shank is adjustable from at least size 5 to 9.
Weighs .4 oz (10 g)

There are no damages. The jade is bright and colorful. The gold color in the interior compartment shows very little wear.

A beautiful old ring that will fit anyone. I love the jade color with its green spotting.
