A beautiful matched double strand of natural apple green jade beads that are hand knotted with a pierced 14 Kt gold filigree clasp from the 1950’s. They were acquired from the estate of Dr. Edwin McMillan, 1951 Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry. The bracelet was purchased in San Francisco in the 1950s.

One strand of 23 matched pale green jadeite beads and a second of 24 beads attached to a pierced 14-carat gold clasp. The beads are hand knotted with a pale green cord. The jade is a translucent pale green with a profusion of vivid apple green spotting. They glow from within when held to a light. The jade has a nice weight to it and feel cold to the touch. The beads have not been color enhanced and are natural (type A) jade.

The only mark is the 14 Kt on the clasp.

Will fit wrist up 6 ¾” (17.1cm) around
Beads range from 6 mm to 5 mm diameter
Weighs .8 oz (25 g)

The beads and clasp are perfect, with no cracks other than natural inclusions. There is some wear to the original silk cord.

A beautiful bracelet that matches a necklace we also have listed in our Ruby Lane shop. They were together as a set. The elegant bracelet would make a nice gift or would look great worn out on the town.
