Fun, whimsical paintings of children playing in a garden on this refined round shaped vase. One little boy is getting ready to light a fire cracker. The other little boy has his hands to his ears. How fun!

Very soft, unctuous feeling glaze on this vase with deep cobalt paintings of children playing in a garden. The cobalt used looks deep with darker explosions like in the Ming porcelain. The base has a refined clay unglazed foot ring and chatter marks on the glazed base. There are rings of cobalt painted above the foot and a tooth like ring around the neck. The vase has a nice shine to the glaze.

There is a red wax official stamp for export on the base of the vase. There are Chinese characters and what looks like a star from the Chinese flag.

4 ½” (11.4 cm) tall x 4 ¼” (10.8 cm) diameter. Weighs 8.9 oz (250 g)

There are no chips, cracks or breaks. There is some slight wear in the form of scratches. There are kiln flaws like; dimples, black spots, and separations. The vase looks bright and fresh.

A great fun vase with so much character. You have to smile at the two little boys.
