Colorful flower pattern on this interestingly shaped bowl with matching lobed stand. A tremendous amount of much hand work went into the painting of this bowl. The flowers are multi colored and realistic. It is so busy.

The porcelain bowl and stand has a six lobed shape. The bowl opening is slightly flared, tapering to a smaller base. The bowl is painted with blue, pink, violet, green over glaze enamels with black used for effect and to outline. The inside of the bowl has a turquoise glaze. The foot ring is raised and is unglazed. The base is glazed in a turquoise glaze with an unglazed central square.

The stand matches the bowl with turquoise inside glaze and over glaze blue back. It has a raised unglazed foot ring and a turquoise glazed base with inner unglazed square. The foot ring of the base is also unglazed and feel soft and smooth.

The inside turquoise glaze on both the base and bowl shows blotches and imperfections, although to a lesser extent on the bowl than the base. The outer colored glazes are smooth shiny and bright. Some of the blue has bled into the foot ring. There is an unglazed line above the foot rings on both the base and bowl. Qianlong reign marks in red zhuanshu script are painted in the unglazed squares on the bases.

A colorful interesting shaped work of the potter’s art. I love the intricate flower designs.
