Exquisite very tightly embroidered Chinese silk.

Two separate women’s sleeve bands have been sewn together to form a highly decorative large rectangular cream colored silk cloth. One side is intricately embroidered with flowers, birds, and Buddhist symbols. The colors of the silk embroidery thread are: cobalt blue, purple, red, lilac, and pale green. The embroideries on each half mirror each other.

The quality of the embroidery is fantastic. The time involved to make this embroidery would be extensive. The workmanship is minutely incredible.

The back side of the cloth is not embroidered, since it would have been the back of the sleeves.

16” x 20 ½” Weighs 2.1 oz.

Two areas near the red roses near birds with red feet and feathers have bled. The color has bled through to the other side. There are a few small stained areas.

The embroidery is unbelievably perfect. I can’t believe someone could embroider this tight and perfect.
