A matched pair of enameled copper wall pockets with a rose design that are colorful, old and intricate.

A thin copper metal has been covered in enamel and then painted. The design is of roses in flower and with rose hips. They have bat handles on the necks. They even have enameled stands as if they were standing vases. The backs are enameled in the base white enamel, as are the interiors. The vases have the added glitter of gilt trim.

MEASUREMENTS
7 ½” (19.1 cm) tall x 3 1/8” (7.9 cm) wide x 1” (2.5 cm) deep. Weighs 8.7 oz (245g)

CONDITION
The enamels on the main body of both vases are intact and very bright. There are some damages to the enamel in the following locations (please see photos): some small pieces of enamels missing on the edges of the bases of both vase (one vase is more pronounced then the other), the mouth edge on one vase, one bat is missing enamel on a lower wing on one handle, and there are some losses on the backs. There is also some crazing on the necks of both vases. For their age and fragile nature, they are in still quite good shape. There is some tape residue on the back of one vase, which we did not try to remove so not to risk any additional damage.

A colorful, delicate, matched pair of auspicious vases that will delight and enhance your collection or home décor.
