From our European Collection, a very fine and large carved marble sculpture of a maiden, Italian, circa 1900. Artist unknown, but the work is very competently and fluidly executed, capturing a wonderful contemplative serenity and grace. This piece is already fairly large and dramatic at 40 inches tall, but when displayed on a proper sized pedestal stand providing it even further height, it will indeed be a strong and important focal point of any elegant interior.
Size and Condition: 40 inches tall. Excellent condition: no breaks or repairs. The marble shows general light wear and age discoloration, some light scuffs here and there, but overall excellent.
