From our European Collection, a very large and imposing set of Renaissance Revival Armchairs, 19th century. These are made of either mahogany or walnut, with carved lion head motifs on the armrests, carved claw feet, and carved griffon-like motifs on the upper back. It's hard to appreciate the scale of these chairs as we have nothing else in the background for size comparison, but they are VERY LARGE....of almost throne-chair-like dimensions, standing over 6 feet tall, and they make for a dramatic room statement in whatever venue they are placed.
Size and Condition: Approximately 6 feet tall, 35 inches deep, 30 inches wide. These are very sturdy and very stable and fully functional, with only fairly minor wear and rubbing to the carvings and wood surfaces. Reupholstered in a champagne / taupe-like colored velvet.
