A very rare find! A complete Black Glaze Ewer with Cover from the early period of Fujian Tradeware. The glaze is typical for unearthed examples of the 11th Century, Song Dynasty. For comparison turn to the Princesshof Museum Collections several Kendis and Ewers from the Cizao Kiln, which show the same features as to shape of the body and spout, and as to glaze and age signs.
Overall in good condition. Tear and wear of the ages, handle has two cracks (prob. broken off before) and signs of repair (->see pictures!TL-Test can be arranged on enquiry).
