A very rare find! A Black Glaze Calyx Krater-Type Vase. It is incised with a floral decor, the typical Corinthian Flower Crests and the well known greek Wave Pattern, as well as the Bucchero-Style zig zag incisions on the lip and body.
It shows signs of unearthing with sand resedue and the decay of the slip glaze.
Overall in good condition. Tear and wear of the ages, one handle has a crack (broken off before) and signs of novice repair with commercial glue (->see pictures!TL-Test can be arranged on enquiry).
