An exquisite Roman Glass, Sky Blue Amphoriskos fom the first to third century A.D.
This Roman Glass Vessel was found behind a hollow wall of an Estate during renovational work. It was probably hidden there during the Second World War and forgotten.
Sadly it was thoroughly cleaned by the finder and previous owner, diminishing the naturaly formed patina. But the Base still shows the age! (--> see pictures.
Overall in superb condition (one small 2mm impact-crack).
