For sale here is a RARE vintage 1970s handmade sterling silver and spectrolite modernist bangle bracelet designed by Jan Salakari for Kaunis Koru of Finland. A beautiful bracelet with a lovely stone with flashes of color when moved! Unique closure in the form of a 'ring' that fits over the stone at top and is held in place by tension designed by Jan Salakari for Kaunis Koru originally in the 1950s, and used again for this design in the 1970s. The bangle section measures 1/2" wide at bottom then tapers to the top where it measures 5/8" wide at the stone and circular closure. Fits my 7.5" wrist comfortably, and I suggest a wrist close to that so that the upper section doesn't roll to the side too much. Weighs 19.7 grams total. Marked as shown in my photo with maker mark for Kaunis Koru, "VHB" for silversmith Hans Berg, "Y7" for 1976, also the Finnish national silver mark and "925" for sterling silver. Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and tarnish as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase. I am open to reasonable offers from serious buyers.
