Cylindrical pot in Chinese porcelain copying an 18th century model. Decor finely executed in enamels of the rose family, painted by hand, representing scholars under a pine tree at the edge of a lake.The reverse with poem. 20th century copy, probably from the 1960s. An original must exist in a Chinese museum. This type of high quality porcelain had to be ordered to be offered as a present? or others. In any case, porcelains of this quality from this late period are not numerous. Very damaged. Below an apocryphal mark in red, certainly imperial, and a label announcing a copy. Diameter: 14cm

A Siam style budha cast bronze head made at Bien Hoa professional School in Vietnam circa 1930. Nice reproduction and beautiful patina. The Bien Hoa school was created in 1906 by French administrators who, seeing Vietnamese art and culture disappear during colonization, wanted to safeguard this important Vietnamese artistic heritage. The school was therefore created, it housed hundreds of Annamese students who became sculptors, painters, ceramists, cabinetmakers etc... in order to perpetuate the craftsmanship of their ancestors. The school closed in 1975. Good condition, some scratches and wear. Wooden base. Hight with stand: 35cm
