Guanyin carved from a piece of white jade. She is depicted standing, holding a vase of flowers in her hands. The simplicity of the sculpture, the strength it exudes make me think of an ancient time. I think early Qing or Ming period. The base is original because it is made of bamboo, although it is simple it is of good quality,its feet are carefully executed; perhaps of the same period.
Height about 12cm without the base.
Good condition, however I think part of a ribbon has been reground because it seems a little flat to me. The color is white as in the pictures. It's still not a bowl of milk but it's white. The stone is naturally deep cracked and there are some amber veins. All this is visible on photos.
