This attractive kabin (vase) was made in the shino style, a more than four hundred year old tradition from the central part of Japan; the ancient Mino province. It was made at a kiln called Ohira, established in 1959 by Okuiso Eiroku (1931 – 1987) in the city of Kani, Gifu prefecture. Okuiso was a recognized potter, but it is not clear who made this particular vase; him, his wife, who is also a potter, or his son, who now runs the kiln.

Please let me know if you have any question.

The kabin is in perfect condition and will be shipped in a signed wooden box. Dimensions: 8 x 19 cm (3.2 x 7.6 in); weight 775g (1.7 lb)
