Two high bottle shape vases of irregular / cut shape and a small "Kawai" charming vase of perfectly pure and smooth white porcelain clay coated in a wonderful bluish celadon glaze. All three has a signed Tomobako, storage box. Sizes: 1. H. 42 x Ø 10 cm; 2. H 34 cm Ø 7 cm 3. H.13,5 cmØ 12 cm Kato Tsubusa (b. 1962), a well-established ceramic artist from Tajimi. Kato started exhibiting his works in 1984 and has participated in many competitions and exhibitions in Japan and abroad. Known for his combination of delicate, almost ethereal, pale, bluish celadon glazes on porcelain, his pieces have a singular character and highly aesthetic quality to them.
