A very attractive, bottle-shaped vase of strong, under-glaze blue Oribe ware decorated with stylised orchids/irises in resist-wax technique leaving the ceramic core visible. Signed Kato Nobuaki (... - d. 2008). Known among other things for blue Oribe which he made at his Mitsumine Kiln, Seto. Various exhibitions to his name. Signed kiri-box with paper. Ca. 1990. H 20 cm. Condition: Perfect.
