A bamboo flower basket, ikebana basket for flower arrangement by Kosuge Kogetsu (Hounsai)
The slender body constructed in a lobed shape from bamboo madake and rattan, using the 1000 line construction technique, embroiled plating and a circular plaited base.
Signed Kogetsu-saku. From 1970-80.
Kosuge Kogetsu was born in Niigata Prefecture in 1932 and past away in 2016. He was the 3rd son of Kosuke Chikudo from whom he learned the bamboo craftsmanship.
H 28,5 x 10,5 cm. Good condition
