A large robustly potted Chinese square section canister decorated in typical Chinoiserie style with a scene of Pavillions, Bridges and islands dating to the early 19th century. The vase stands approximately 13 inches high and is 8 inches square. It is in good condition except for a hairline crack from the shoulder with related chip, and a restoration work to the neck. The extensive overpainting apparently hiding a chip, possibly filled, and a re-stuck piece to the neck. Additional images are available.
