The reverse decorated in under-glaze blue with boats and islands and within the foot-ring and within a single ring a mountain fuku, good fortune, mark. The dish measures 6.5 inches or 16.5cm in length and 5.125 inches or 13cm in width, and 1.5 inches or 4cm in height, and is in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Shipping at Cost.

A fine Arita soba choku decorated with Chrysanthemums within ogee form reserves set against an aka-e kinrande ground dating to the middle of the Eighteenth century The interior decorated with a diaper band to the rim and a go-ben ka to the bottom of the cup. The base of the cup decorated with a spiral fuku within a double square. The cup is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. An interesting pair of straight sided flared bowls decorated with contrasting panels of Bamboo, painted with gilt outlined enamels, and Aka-e kinrande with unusual black enamel roundels with kara kusa patterns, brocade balls, and green and gilt demi florets. The interior of the bowls decorated with two contrasting diaper patterns and a mon style motif to the interior. The bowls are 12cm in diameter and stand just under 8cm high. A rare and unusual Arita dish made for export to the West decorated with the subject of a Chinese Lady and her attendant viewing Plum blossom. It is probably adapted from a Chinese transitional original. The dish measures 8.5 inches in diameter and is in good condition with cracks, chips or restoration, except for some light crazing to a portion of the reverse and some glaze skip along the rim. The dish dates to the period 1680-1700

Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. A large porcelain Jubaku consisting of four tiered containers with cover decorated with a karakusa ground in yellow and green enamels inset with auspicious figures of Chinese boys, karako, and reserves containing Peonies and rocks, traditional symbols of the arrival of Spring.
