The bowl is decorated with a pattern of nine cranes, ku tsuru, and three young pine trees, san waka matsu, in the Imari palette with underglaze blue and overglaze green and iron red enamels highlighted with gilt. The auspicious Pine and Crane pattern embodies a wish for a long and youthful life. The bowl measures 9.125" (23cm) x 2.75" (6.75cm) and is in very good condition. There are a few breaks in the fragile rim, typical for reticulated bowls of age. Shipping at Cost.
