A mid-sized dish of moulded lotus form decorated with Bamboo, take, and Sparrows, suzume, a classic winter motif dating to the late mid Edo period. The reverse is decorated with a continuous kara kusa, lotus scroll, combined with a four character mark for the Chinese Emperor chenghua. The dish measures 15.8cm or 6.22 inches in diameter and stands 3.1cm or 1.22 inches high. The dish is in good condition with just two flea-bites and a short hairline crack to the rim, see image number no 6, no restoration or other damage. Insured shipping at cost.
