A curious convergence of the Japanese Mesian-de grid pattern found originally on Chinese Kraak porcelain of the early 17th century and the Lambrequin based patterns popular in Baroque Europe particularly at Rouen. Very similar designs were produced at the Du Pacquier porcelain factory in Vienna in the 1730’s, which would suggest a dating of before 1730, as well as at the Meissen factory. The reverse of the dish decorated with Prunus blossom, Irises and Chrysanthemums. No spurs within the footring. The dish is 23cm diameter, approximately 9 inches, and stands 3.3cm high and is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration some to be expected wear to the enamels and gilding for a dish nearly 300 years old. Additional images are available on request. Worldwide shipping is included in the $ price and UK shipping in the Sterling price. £110 - $160
