One of the most recognizable and often copied designs from the golden age of Taxco jewelry. Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti's (Victoria) sterling shadow-box angels bracelet. This is the "oval" version of the design.
Hand-made circa 1950's-60's, It is tricky to measure due to the attached safety, but the bracelet measures 6-4/8 to 6-5/8 inches long closed (wearable) x 3/4 inches wide. Fits a small or medium wrist. Typical flat silvery niello. Overall very good vintage condition with very minor age wear. It is marked 53 (design number), Sterling, Victoria, Taxco, Mexico, and has the Gov't assay eagle 12. Often copied, none come close to the quality and finish of this heavy, well-made piece. This is a must have for any serious Taxco lover.
