Super Rare, circa late 1800's - early 1900's Art Nouveau cuff bracelet. Made from rare natural brown tortoise shell, this bracelet has a fantastic sterling medallion very similar to William Kerr. The organic design features a finely detailed a young maiden with long, flowing hair intertwined with vines and flowers. Look closely at the detail and how both sides are symmetrical yet unique. Breathtaking! It has three rivets holding it to the bracelet. We will not attempt to remove it to look for a makers mark. It is silver, testing at close to sterling. Excellent overall condition. One small surface chip near one end in back. The wearable length is about 7 inches total, at 6 1/4 for the cuff plus a 3/4 inch opening. It will fit a medium wrist. There is plenty of length, but that 3/4 inch opening isn't a lot. It does not flex open much, nor would we recommend doing so, as the shell is rigid. A competent jeweler should be able to grind the opening wider for you if needed. You will not see another like this!
