Great, old Gerardo Lopez sterling bracelet with black Obsidian stones produced in Taxco, Mexico circa 1950's. Made very much in the style of Enrique Ledesma and Antonio Pineda in its modernistic design and use of stone. This is an unusual piece for Lopez, who's designs are more often fluid in the style of Margot or Los Castillo. This bracelet fits a small wrist, measuring about 6 1/4 x 7/8 inches. The faceted obsidian stones are about 7/8 x 3/8. Marked with an old style marking Sterling 925, above the Lopez Taxco oval, and Hencho en Mexico below, with the Gov't assay eagle. Some edge wear on a couple of the stones. Could use a good cleaning.
