This is a 19th century Japanese Netsuke depicting a standing Shoki, the demon-queller, with his drawn sword on his right arm; a stern expression on his face. Some of the porous characteristic of this material is observed on the bottom of the netsuke. Nice, uneven himotoshi shows signs of use. Unsigned. It measures 1.08 inches (2.8cm) wide, and 2.02 inches (5.1cm) tall.

19th Century, Finely Hand-Carved Wood Tonkotsu with excellent and colorfull inlays/incrustations depicting a Sea Life Landscape with fish, clamshells, shrimp, crab, snail, jellyfish and algae. Beautiful representation of a marine scenery. The netsuke matches the theme with a depiction of an open clamshell with a village scene made up of a house with balcony and rooftop, as well as people standing or sitting about. The clamshell seems to have been made with hanoki wood, covered in Gesso (plaster) and paint that has come off with tiime and use. The cilindrical shaped wooden ojime is decorated with contiguous carved arches. The tonkotsu is signed with golden lacquer on one of its sides. The tonkotsu measures 3.38 inches (8.6cm) wide, 1.92 inches (4.9cm) deep, and 2.56 inches (6.5cm) tall. The netsuke measures 1.56 inches (4.0cm) wide, and 1.23 inches (3.1cm) tall. Signed. The Ojime measures 0.64 inches (1.7cm) wide, and 0.35 inches (0,9cm) thick. All components are in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This is a 19th century, Molded and Enameled Snuff Bottle, of flattened ovoid form, with shoulders slopping to a waisted neck and everted mouth rim, tapering toward a slightly concave oval foot, molded with a dragon that is enveloping the entire piece. It has been carved and colored to look like cinnabar lacquer. It comes with a green jadeite flattened stopper. 19th Century Peking Glass Black Overlay Snuff Bottle: "Nine Bronze Vessels"

This is an flat, rectangular shaped with rounded shoulders, transparent, with Black Overlay, Peking Glass Snuff Bottle, depicting in high relief with finely engraved details "Nine Bronze Vessels", after the famous Chinese abbreviated saying "jiu ding", which means "The World weighs as heavy as Nine Bronze Vessels.

The Nine Bronze Vessels refer to the bronze vessels that were casted by order of King Yiu of the Xia dynasty for each of the nine territories or provinces of his kingdom.

The bottle is in excellent preserved condition.

This is a fine, flattened, rounded rectangular form tapering toward the base, with a wide mouth of slightly opaque glass, above a short waited neck, all raised atop a conforming foot ring. The main body decorated with overlay of transparent red glass over clear glass carved with a decoration of a bat hovering above a rock and waves. The reversed showing another bat above a pine tree and rocks. The sides flanked by masks and faux-ring handles. The bottle is in excellent preserved condition, except that it has a small area of splintered lines on the side of its mouth , although it is solid. This is an unusually large 19th Century, Finely Hand-Carved Wood Tonkotsu decorated with excellently finished high relief carvings of a Daruma Doll, a Toy Riding Horse, a Japanese Tai Fish laying on top of a rectangular base, a Sea Turtle and a Chrysanthemum flower, amid a detailed background of cross-lined squares. A wooden Manju with a Chrysanthemum motif, decorated with exquisite Ukibori carving, is attached, as well as a metal and natural seed beads. The Tonkotsu has a cylindrical shaped wooden liner. The tonkotsu is unsigned. It measures 4.52 inches (11.48cm) wide, 2.54 inches (6.4cm) deep, and 3.65 inches (9.2cm) tall. The netsuke measures 1.56 inches (4.0cm) wide, and 0.58inches (1.5cm) tall. The beads measure 1.4cm in diameter. The lid of the tonkutso shows a hairline from a well done repair; hardly noticeable, but, its otherwise, in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This is a excellently carved Japanese Netsuke depicting a group of 10 rats gathered on top of turtle. Outstanding symmetry and detailed piece; very life-like. Signed on an oval reserve, Akihisa, a carver that worked in the 19th century in Japan. Netsuke measures 1.65 inches (4.2cm) wide, and 0.96 inches (2.4cm) tall.

Amygdaloidal Basalt Snuff Botle of flattened rectangular shape, supported on an oval footrim, the gently slopping shoulders rising to a cylindrical neck; the mottled dark stone ground suffused by gray-blue epidote and calcite irregular but attractive intrusions. Well-hollowed. It was probably made during the Qing Dynasty, 1780-1850. This bottle comes with a green jadeite stopper with metal collar. Note: Amygdaloidal Basalt is also referred as volcanic puddingstone. According to Bob C. Stevens in the Collector's Book of Snuff Bottles, New York and Tokyo, 1980, p. 159, it 'is a conglomerate made of cinders, ash, broken fragments (braccias) and epidote (a blue-green mineral), all intermixed with lava. A similar shaped bottle is illustrated in Stevens, op.cit., fig 658. A similar bottle was sold at Christie's, New York, on 22 March 2007 for $10,800. Authentic, Ancient (500-100 B.C.) Pre-Columbian Mezo-American Guerrero, Mezcala Jade, Axe God Idol Figure. Pre-Columbian, Meso-American Guerrero, Mexcala culture, Late Pre-classic Period (500-100 B.C.), Carved from a speckled green serpentine stone, common during the period. It is a large, anthropomorphic axe god in the form of a standing idol figure that it is abstract and minimalistic. The details have been incised on the stone to show its hair, eyes, mouth, arms to the sides, and short legs. The format of this figure was prevalent in ancient Mezo-America, and was termed "axe-god". This is a finely made Blue and White Porcelain Snuff Bottle, of tubular form with straight neck and rolled rim, resting on an unglazed footing, with a patterned band around the shoulder and neck. It depicts three figures with a donkey. It has a six-character Yongzheng mark on the base in undergrlaze blue. It comes with a rosette ceramic stopper. This is a well-hollowed, Flattened, Rectangular with rounded shoulders tapering towards base, with long rounded neck , with a raised splayed oval recessed footing, snuff bottle. It is made from deep green with black vertical bands malachite. It is carved, in high relief, with a scene of birds in a pond amid lotus plants. It comes with a like material stopper.

Excellently preserved original condition.

This is a finely carved and molded Rock Hair crystal Snuff Bottle in the form of a double gourd. A bat with spread wings under a hanging circular decoration is carved on both sides of the bottle. The transparency of the tea-colored crystal enables the thin brownish color criss-crossed hairs to be seen in a dramatic way. The bottle rests on a raised footing. It comes with a milk chocolate and black hardstone stopper. This excellent and interesting looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition. This is a finely carved and molded Quartz Hair crystal Snuff Bottle in a rectangular form with a round neck, and and a raised oval footing. Two flying bats with spread wings decorate one side of the bottle. The transparency of the tea-colored crystal enables the observe to see parallel spiral lines left by the tool used to carve the well-done internal cavity of the bottle. It comes with a Mongolian-style metal stopper set with aqua-marine beads, and a coral finial, and silver spoon. This excellently made and charming bottle is in remarkable preserved condition. This is a finely carved and molded Rock Hair crystal Snuff Bottle in the form of a flattened multi-sided, rectangular Snuff Bottle, with an incurved mouth, and very rare triangular prism shaped shoulders and footing. It has a transparent tone, with messes and burst of purple needles, and sudden explosions of golden brown of tourmaline needles. Flattened mushroom shape pink stopper with spoon. This excellent and very rare formed, but interesting looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition. This is a finely carved Celadon Jade figure of a Boy holding a Lotus Leaf Branch. It is a mostly of natural celadon color with a small patch of russet color in the back, near the waistline. This excellent rendition of a traditionally groomed 18th Century Boy is in excellent preserved condition. Provenance: Bonham's The Celadon Jade Boy here is similar to one being auctioned by Zacke Galleries, Vienna, Austria, on 11 March 2022, with an estimated cost of 2,000 to 4,000 Euros. This is an Amygdaloidal Basalt, heavy, but well hollowed, of flattened globular shape with a short broad cylindrical neck, and an oval recessed foot. Engraved with lion masks to both shoulders. The background is dark gray, almost black, and the attractive mineral inclusions of various shapes are light brown, light blue, gray, green, light green and some shades of rosette. Some of the various shape forms have various colors inside. Beginning at its shoulders there are carvings of this large faux masks, that occupy more than half of its length down to the bottom of the bottle, that its not apparent when you look at the bottle from afar. It comes with a like material stopper that shows similar colors and shape forms as the bottle. This very fine bottle is in excellent preserved condition.

This is an Amygdaloidal Basalt , well hollowed, of circular form, with a round neck, a flat, wide lip, and a recessed oval foot surrounded by a footrim. The background is dark gray, almost black, and the attractive mineral inclusions of various shapes are light brown, blue, gray and some shades of red. Some of them have multicolor burst like forms. It comes with a like material stopper that shows various shades of blue. This very fine bottle is in excellent preserved condition. This is a rare and rather unique Snuff Bottle made from Bamboo, and shaped in the form of a double Gourd. It has a flat footing. It is carved in high relief all around, and it depicts monks within a temple, surrounded by trees. A crane making a landing can also be seen. Well established cavity. Excellent rich patina. It comes with an aquamarine hardstone stopper. This excellently carved bottle is in excellent preserved condition.
