Early 19th Century, Green Overlay Glass Snuff Bottle
This is a very fine, flattened, circular form, with a round elongated neck that is encircled by a collar of acanthus leaves, over a raised oval footing, snuff bottle. It is covered with a rich green overlay glass on snowflake glass, decorated with a fine relief carving of a clump of Bamboo on one side, and a pair of Lotus flowers on the other. The sides are flanked by masks and faux-ring handles. It comes with an orange glass stopper with a natural material spoon . The bottle is in a remarkable and excellent preserved condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.
