This is a a very early (possible Palace Cloisonne Workshops, 1690 - 1720) Enamels on bronze with gold (cloisonne) Snuff Bottle, flattened Circular with rounded sloping shoulders, with a rounded, elongated neck, a flat lid, and an oval recessed foot rim. It is vividly enameled with colorful tones of blue, red, gold, green and black; decorated on each side, within a circle, with the Longevity Symbol flanked by half-lotus blossoms and vines, amid a golden ground. The neck decorated with a band of formalized Lingzhi, and the base with a band of formalized petals. The sides decorated with Indian lotus scrolls on a blue ground. The exposed surfaces are all covered with a dark patina. It comes with a brass stopper.
This exceptional historical piece is preserved in excellent condition.
