This is an original Antique (Pre-1900 / 1900) Gadget (Sword ) Cane, with a Carved Ball with the faces of a young and an elder Chinese men, as well as some Graphic Symbols made from Bone. The ball has a handle extension that measures 16cm. and it is composed of a bone (1.5cm), Double Brass (2. 75cm each) and wooden (9cm) collars. The bone portions of the handle display a superb natural old patina. It has a wooden scabbard/shaft with a square cavity that measures 29 inches. The ball and collar handle appear sealed as one piece. Protruding from the collar is a four-sided pointed Sword blade made from steel and measuring 18.5 inches. The hollow (scabbard) shaft of the cane is as deep as two thirds the length of the blade, and it has a brass four-sided guide. The cane shaft, which appears in excellent condition, ends with a brass and steel ferrule.
