A Burmese Silver, repousse, Buddha with a hardwood and resin core. Sitting on a double lotus throne, there is an inscription verso. The workmanship is of high quality. Presumed date is C19th. A bronze, female, deity from the Khmer Empire, C12-13th. The facial features are strongly defined and typical of the period. The upper body is bare, apart from a necklace and armlets. She is wearing a Dhoti which is folded to the front in a fishtail pleat. This crowned deity has particularly fine detailing, a pleasant aged patina, and is mounted on a cubic metal base. Without the base, it is 14.3 cm tall. Originally from a private German collection...

A rare Javanese Majapahit Kingdom pottery pig, C14-15th. It is equally rare to find in such a large size, 34 cm long. As is the nature of these piggy banks, it has been broken and restored! Cf.
