A Chinese, Blue and White, Charger, C18th
Please refer to our stock # 37 when inquiring.
A large Chinese, blue and white, dish. I date this dish to early Qianlong dynasty; 1735 to around 1750. The piece is very well painted with floral branches, the three friends of Winter, and a table of scholarly items. The underside of the dish is undecorated; pointing to a Qianlong dating. There is fritting to the rim; this technical problem was resolved by the mid eighteenth Century; hence the early Qianlong dating. The use of line shading is typical of Yongzheng and early Qianlong, blue and white, porcelain. Diameter 38 cm.
Condition is good and undamaged. The fritting to the rim was a technical issue of Chinese porcelain of this period.
