Measuring 3 13/16" in length and 1 5/16" at its widest, this Paleo-Indian Clovis Point (RXB.6) dates c.18,000-10,600 B.P. and is the second top quality artifact we are offering from the Rhonda Beck collection. With a paper tag marked "Obion Co., TN" (located in the extreme northwest county of the state), this black beauty exhibits a subtle brownish-red variegation on its tagged side. In excellent condition, and the second Beck collection point we'd grade at the top, the rock type from which the Clovis was made has been identified as Dover Chert by authenticator Calvin Howard. Another gem for the discriminating collector, it comes in its own Riker-style frame along with Howard's certificate of authenticity and a map of Tennessee hi-lighting the county in which it was found. Remember to check back frequently for additional points from the fine Beck collection by typing RXB in our search link. Should you want to ask any questions concerning this item, refer to either the Trocadero Item Number in the upper left of this page, or the inventory number RXB.6. And.... if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our popular ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have up to twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
