This page, Egypt.F, is one of 10 new page listings (Egypt.A thru Egypt.J) of the world-recognized Phillip Mitry Egyptian artifacts collection, re-done to consolidate all remaining unsold Mitry pieces for quicker viewing. An 11th page, Egypt.K, has a mixture of mostly Mitry pieces along with several from other collections. Each page contains 12 individually priced and described artifacts with this page (‘F’) exhibiting items 96.414HD, 96.620HD, 96.668HD, 96.681HD, 96.721HD, 96.845HD, 96.847HD, 96.879HD, 96.882HD, 96.883HD, 96.922HD and 96.976HD. Each of the photos has a number in brackets at the end of the title (1-10 with 10 being the top) indicating how the author would grade it based upon both condition and rarity according to Mitry’s original value estimates. For those unfamiliar with the Philip Mitry collection, Mitry was an Egyptian-registered antiquities dealer who owned a shop in Cairo. In the early ‘50s he sold his store, then known as the Anglo-American Bookstore and Antiquities Shop, and moved with his personal collection to California. HD Enterprises purchased the Mitry collection in 1996 and have sold pieces to museums, jewelry designers, and collectors all over the world. Each item, identified in brackets with its unique inventory number, such as (96.500HD), is then followed by descriptive information and finalized on the bottom line with the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then the unique Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. A purchase comes with a small display card, information about Mitry and his shop, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity and legality.
