This is a very old dhyandro drum handle showing a very thick encrusted soot aptina. The design of the sculpture clearly indicates a Buddhist influence, in fact the shape of the Makala trunk turned upward is a characteristic of Buddhist phurbus, the central part is a dorgi wrapped with heavily fouled cloth strips. This dhynadri handle was collected in the Kirong Valley (inside Tibet). Very good age at least early 20th century, presented on metal base, 35.5 cm, more information and pictures on request
