A complete flat panel figuring one of the two most famous deities protecting Tharu villages in the South West of Nepal. These panels are fixed deeply into the ground and kept in sanctuary either in special huts or in open field. Very impressive signs of water erosion, very great age at least 100 to 150 years considering that it is made with extremely hard wood. Note also the presence of attached encrusted white lichen a very good index of authenticity Tharu culture is now disappearing on the pressure of modern style of live.
