This is a set of three little Satsuma dishes as used in the tea ceremony. Each has a very simple design executed in underglaze cobalt blue - one of a boat with several sales – a second with a small fishing boat and the third with a raft. The dishes measure 5 1/’8” diameter and are 1” deep. They are all in excellent condition. We date them to the Taisho to early Showa period, circa 1920s- 1950. They each are signed - not yet translated.
