Egyptian polychrome mask, Late period 722-332 BC
Mask of Egyptian sarcophagus in terracotta with serene look of earthy soft red color, it preserves polychrome eyes, in black and white, and the ribbon that it carried in the hair, with yellow and black details, could be the beginning of the smooth crown. On the back, you can see the holes in which the wooden dowels would be inserted by means of which it was joined to the box or sarcophagus to later be covered with stucco covering the cracks, being finally polychromed.
