This head fragment is in Greek-Cypriot style. It probably belonged to a larger sculpture. It is a female face with very characteristic features such as almond-shaped eyes, a large nose and thick lips. It has a hairstyle with a side ponytail that collects the curly hair. Due to the archaic style that it presents both in the features and in the form of the carving, this sculpture belongs to a first group of figures made early in the 8th century BC. Measurements: 24 x 7,5 cm - 37 cm height with stand
Conditions: Nose and cheek damaged otherwise in good condition
Provenance: Aweidah Gallery, Israel, 2014 Exhibited: Feriarte, IFEMA (Madrid, 16-24 November 2019)
