The kouros are sculptures of youths, ephebes and nudes depicted from a frontal viewpoint and with one leg forward. The first examples have a more schematic character of the anatomy through geometric conventions and more archaic features corresponding to a primitive artistic style. In this case it is a handle that has been given the shape of a kouros with its arms raised towards the sky, possibly to support a zoomorphic element that has disappeared. It has archaic features with highly developed musculature with a deep abdominal line and protruding pectoral muscles. He wears a hat with braids on both sides. Measurements: 9,5 cm
Conditions: Dark patina. Fragmented.
Provenance: Hotel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo, 2019
