A very nice and interesting green glazed amulet in the form of Pataikos with a scarab on top of the head,
the back-pillar is inscribed with protective hieroglyphs. Charming open worked amulet.
The amulet is glued into the stand (ebony?).

Date: Third Intermediate Period, circa 1070-655 B.C.
Material: Faience
Size: ca. 4,2 cm; c. 1.65 inches, with stand ca. 7 cm, c. 2.76 inches
Condition: tiny chips, otherwise intact
Provenance: estate of a former assistant of President Johnson, who travelled a lot around the world
