This large and nice faience amulet represents the lion / cat goddess Sekhmet, walking.
She wears the uraeus atop her head. The back pillar inscribed with
a vertical column of hieroglyphic text.

Date: Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, ca. 1069 B.C. - 664 B.C.
Material: Faience
Size: ca. 8,0 cm; c. 3.15 inches, without wooden base
Condition: headdress chipped, base little chipped (see last picture), otherwise perfect condition
Provenance: estate of a former assistant of President Johnson, who travelled a lot around the world
