This is a really nice scarab from the Second Intermediate Period. The scarab depicting a scroll border enclosing the hieroglyphics for the god „Ptah“, below an Ankh sign for „life“. The name „Ptah“ is very often on scarabs of the 18th or 19th Dynasty, but on scarabs of the 13th - 15th Dynasty very seldom.
