The agate intaglio is covered by a calcareous sediment. It is adorned with a fantastic person: a naked male chest, whose head wears a hat and wader legs.

Emile Prisse d'Avesnes (1807-1879), Criosphinx, 1858. Watercolor on graphite sketch.

Titled and annotated "Amenophis III - XVIIIe Dynastie" at the bottom center.
This watercolor represents a criosphinx, or sphinx with a ram head, composed of a lions body lying and a head of ram with hooked horns. He wears a nemes.
Between his forelegs stands a mummiform statue of Osiris wearing a nemes and a postiche beard, his arms are crossed on his torso and he holds an hekat scepter.
