A fine and rare 18th century Qianlong period Chinese Realgar glass snuff bottle, of flattened ovoid form, very well hollowed, the metal from ruby-reddish glass with amber and yellow inclusions, comes with a later date orange-red beaded stopper and ivory spoon. (Wooden stand not included)
NOTE : Please note the actual color of the bottle may not be as bright red as the photos suggested, it is more of a deeper or darker ruby-red. Also the present bottle has a very fine "hairline crack-like" line extending from the top of the neck down and curved all the way around the body twice, it is not a crack but a natural phenomena occurred during production process, it is infact, rather attractive.
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th century, Qianlong period.
MARK : no mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 2 5/8" (6.8 cm) high including stopper.
CONDITION : the bottle is in perfect condition with allover surface wear and abrasions commensurate with age; a tiny production fault near the base and tiny impurities only. No damage or repair noted.
