A very fine quality Chinese Qianlong mark cloisonné enameled snuff bottle, the rounded lantern form bottle beautifully worked in gilded-wires around the body with lotus flowers and leafy scrollwork enameled in green, red, and yellow, all reserved on turquoise ground, a band of "ruyi" encircling the short neck, a further band of lappets in blue enamel above the circular foot, top and bottom rims gilded, the base with a gilded plaque bearing a four-character Qianlong reign mark in "kaishu" script. Comes with a well-fitted red colored hardstone stopper and a metal spoon. (Wooden stand not included).
NOTE : The weight of this bottle is comparatively heavy suggesting the base metal probably made of bronze; a sign of quality.
DATE : Chinese, probably 20th century.
MARK : gilded four-character Qianlong mark within squared metal plaque on base.
SIZE : approximately 3" (7.5 cm) high including stopper.
CONDITION : in perfect condition; minor wear to gilding and enamels; small age wear to base mark; numerous tiny production pitting and dimples to enamels only. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
