Being offered is a circa 1953 exceedingly rare jewelry set by Enrique Ledesma of Taxco, Mexico. Consisting of a necklace, cuff links, tie clip, cuff bracelet & earrings made primarily of shell, with applied silver and brass biomorphic motifs. Dimensions: necklace 15 1/2 inches long and 'plaque' 3 3/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide; lever-back earrings 2 1/2 inches high by 1/2 inch wide; cuff 1 1/2 inches wide. Cuff fits all but the largest wrist. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition. This is a remarkable assemblage by an important Mexican designer and maker.

Being offered is a circa 1965 sterling silver flatware set by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico. Heavy gauge flatware in a modernist geometric pattern. Featuring 12 - six piece place settings and two serving spoons; 74 pieces total. There is an applied ‘D’ on both sides of the large knife. The bowls of all spoons are hammered. Includes: 12 Dinner Knives - 10" long 12 Butter Knives - 5 3/4" long 12 Dinner Spoons - 8 1/4" long 12 Teaspoons - 6 1/2" long 12 Dinner Forks - 8" long 12 Salad Forks - 6 3/4" long 2 Serving spoons - 10 1/4" long Each is marked as illustrated with Pineda’s mark. In excellent condition. The weight of the entire set is a whopping 10 3/4 lbs—extraordinary weight. There is a similar set in the incredible museum catalog “SILVER SEDUCTION The Art of Mexican Modernist ANTONIO PINEDA” on page 175. That set thankfully returned to an owner in Mexico City. A copy of the scarce and highly collectible catalog is included in the purchase of this astounding, superb set. The catalog accompanied the 2008 Pineda solo exhibition/retrospective at the Fowler Museum at UCLA in Los Angeles.
