Glazed Gnathia ware oinochoe with trefoil spout and arched handle. The body decorated with leaf-sprays suspended from a band with egg pattern and dots.
The intended black color of the vase changed to a warm red-brown due to excessive heat. Standing on a small ring foot.

Daunian krater with bulbous body, short funnel-shaped mouth and slightly upturned handles.
The shoulder area with bluish-black bands and raised triangles, metope-like spaces within thin vertical lines. Hanging semicircles inside the funnel opening.

Black-glazed Apulian plate of shallow floor with three stamped palmettes at center. The flat lip, slightly curved on top.
Standing on a low foot in two degrees. Faint imprint from the foot of another dish on the floor.
Covered with a fine black glaze. The expert modeling and the application of a glossy black glaze suggest that the plate was inspired by metal examples.

Hand-modeled bowl of hemispherical body with a single handle at the rim. The base rounded.
The burnished surface with a red-brown slip and purple-red bands of wavy lines that form a cross on both the inner and outer surface. Purple-red lines on the handle.

Tall glazed skyphos with swelling wall, the lower part tapers towards a torus foot.
The horseshoe-shaped handles attached just below the slightly flared rim.
Resting surface and underside reserved; the bottom with applied red wash. Extraordinary silvery glaze.

Nice black-figure lekythos with men, two of them seated on fold chairs (okladiai). The men show nicely rendered heavy heads. They wear cloaks, some with faded bordures or dots, two of them holding staffs (?)
Branches without leaves in the field. Two rows of radiating strokes on the shoulder.

Well modeled plate of shallow floor and upcurving rim. The bulged outside of the rim with a marked groove below. Standing on a ring foot which shows two pierced holes for suspension.
Faint traces of fingertips around the foot where held when dipped into the glaze medium. Covered with black glaze that turns into a warm red-brown color.

Greek black-glazed skyphos with high swelling body and plain rim. Fairly wide base with low, bulged foot. Two round-sectioned handles applied horizontally to the exterior of the rim.
Underside with two circles and dot, reserved surface with a dull red wash.
Close in shape and size to skyphos no. 80 in: J. W. Hayes. Greek and Italian Black-Gloss Wares and Related Wares in the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto 1984.

Apulian black-glazed guttus of globular body with gently sloped shoulder, upright narrow neck and flared spout. The flared rim decorated with impressed rings.
The loop handle is attached on the shoulder, which is embellished with horizontal grooves. Red wash around and underneath the foot.

Fine quality bowl with four deeply impressed palmettes on the inside floor.
Bowl of rounded profile curving up sharply to a slightly incurved rim. Standing on a low rounded foot ring. Graffito of several incised lines below the foot.
Typical product of the “atelier des petites estampilles”; the characteristic shape and the single orientation of the stamps is the hallmark of this class which was introduced by Morel.

Large ornate vessel with wide funnel-shaped mouth and vertical handles alternating with raised left hands. The hands enhanced with stripes. Dots on the back of the hand, the forefinger and the little finger.

Large tan colored kantharos decorated with ivy tendrils ending in corymbs. A checkerboard band with circular incisions underneath. Bands of brownish glaze at the rim, the rounded bowl and the flared foot. The vertical strap handles with lines and stars on the outside.
The tapering wall offset from the shallow rounded bowl, set on a high flared foot.
